MINECRAFT EDUCATION CHALLENGE
Join us for an exciting Minecraft competition set in a Dubai-themed virtual world! Open to students from across the MENA region aged 7-12 from Years 3-6, during March and April 2024.
Participants will engage in a series of competitive Minecraft play, leading to an elimination process to determine the finalists. The top players will then battle it out at the DEF Grand Final on 1 May, where the champions will be celebrated and crowned the winner on stage at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Online assistance and dedicated teacher support packs will be provided to young gamers through this thrilling journey!
Each school should nominate one DEF representative who will register their school teams online for this tournament. If you are a parent, please reach out to the Principal at your child's school.
MICROSOFT MAKECODE COMPETITION
In an exhilarating partnership with Microsoft, secondary students aged 11 and up are invited to unleash their creativity by designing and developing their own games using the educational coding platform, MakeCode. Participants will design their game based on the theme of the Emirates Lunar Missions and have a deadline to submit their creations, which will be evaluated by industry experts.
These professionals will judge and score the entries, selecting the top 5 games for a special showcase at the DEF event on 1-2 May at Dubai World Trade Centre. Here, an overall winner will be announced and celebrated with an on-stage prize ceremony.
To assist in this creative endeavor, online help and comprehensive teacher support packs will be available.
Each school should nominate one DEF representative who will register School Teams online for this tournament.
DEF ESPORTS TOURNAMENTS
Join the quest to crown your students as the ultimate DEF Esports School Champions across the UAE!
Your school is invited to participate in electrifying qualifiers for Rocket League and Fortnite this March and April, with the choice to compete in one or both games. Teacher support packs will be provided.
Students will experience what it’s like to be a pro esports player by participating in the live grand final held on stage at the Game Expo during Dubai Esports and Games Festival, with incredible prizes to be won!
With 100 schools and 5,000 participants battling it out over two months, seize this chance to shine and claim esports glory for your school!
